Vaccinated vs Unvaccinated

Do I dare even open this can of worms? Why yes, I do!…

I will start off to say that we have chosen NOT to vaccinate our children. As the parents of the wonderful kids we’ve been given, we are given the right and privilege to care for them in the best way we know how. With our research, study, and prayer we have decided what we believe is best for OUR family. It is NOT my right or privilege to decide what is right for YOUR family. That is your right and responsibility!

That being said I may try to convince you that avoiding vaccines is a good thing and something to carefully consider, but I will NEVER judge you based on your decision. I hope and pray that you have made an educated decision of what you believe is right for your children.

I’m not pro-vaccines or pro-non vax. I’m pro parents, I’m pro thinking for yourself. I’m pro thinking outside the box. I’m pro giving our kids, ALL kids, the BEST start in life possible. They need, trust, and depend on us as their parents to do the best we can with what we know.

Ok…. after that opening… I’m going to try and attempt to convince you that you shouldn’t vax your kids!!! No… not really… I’m just going to provide you with information to read and digest and make your own decision!

I stumbled upon a study done by Children’s Medical Safety Research Institute (CMSRI). Who are they you ask? In their own words:

…the CMSRI was established to provide funding for research to address eroding national health, particularly in very young and elderly populations. Concerns have been raised by the scientific community about the acknowledged significant increases in immune, inflammatory and cognitive disorders in children and adults ranging from asthma and neurodevelopmental disorders to the emergence of previously rare but serious autoimmune health conditions and age related disorders in the nervous system during the past three decades.

Yes! I agree with all of that and I’m glad there is a research institute that notices this trend and is trying to research it! YAY for protecting our young people and old people!

Back to the study I found. I will let you read it for yourself. It’s long and involved and offers a TON of information, but it’s fantastic. They studied a large group of homeschooled children some vaxed and some not. They short and sweet is that they found that vaccinated kids were four-fold more likely to be diagnosed on the Autism Spectrum, 30-fold more likely to be diagnosed with allergic rhinitis (hay fever), five-fold more likely to be diagnosed with a learning disability, and amazingly, 340 percent more likely to be diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and more… I’ll let you read about it!!!

So grab a cup of coffee (tea, or drink of choice) and take a read. Let me know what you think!!!

Please… honestly… I really do want to know! I know this can be a loaded issue, so please share your thoughts with kindness and respect. I will allow all comments as long as they are not rude, disrespectful or that contain profanity. Otherwise, please feel free to share your thoughts in a way that readers will feel respected and not attacked. Thank you!

  1. Thanks so much for sharing this, Bethanie! We’ve also chosen not to vaccinate up to this point, and I’m grateful, especially in light of some of my kid’s health issues, that I haven’t had the question “Is this because of the vaccinations?” in the back of my mind. I’m always looking for more information to sift through on this topic, especially as we evaluate and re-evaluate as the kids get older, and I respect your approach and opinions. I can’t wait to read this study!
