We had an amazing opportunity to travel to White Sulpher Springs for family camp this past week. The week was better than we could have imagined! Top of the list for me was that there was no cooking, no snack making, no food prep what-so-ever!!!! I don’t think I’ve ever had a week out of the kitchen ever!
Camp included rooms in the lodge, all meals and most activities. Everyday there were lots of well planned activities and most days there were talks for Brian and I. The topic for the week was conflict resolution. A much needed topic for me and it provided much conviction and hope for honoring God in my actions and speech. During the sessions the kids had activities with the camp counselors and were well occupied!
Often when we return from a week of vacation we are all worn out, lots of work to do and we need a “vacation” from vacation! I know you ALL know how that feels. Not so this time! This week was the most physically and spiritually restful week I’ve ever had. And I’m certainly not exaggerating. Brian said he felt the same.
Having time together as a family and not having to worry about making food or where to go get food or having hungry kids was a little piece of heaven! Starting today we are working out ways to get back up there!
Another huge piece that made this experience so enjoyable was the staff. They LOVED on our kids, cheerfully served and taught our kids and worked hard around the center. They had their own fun while also serving and caring for us in so many ways. We have been so blessed! I could go on and on, but pictures speak a thousand words… so read on… view on!!!!

And last but not least… a compilation video to enjoy!!!
Looks like so much fun! We would have joined you. Well, if we lived closer. 🙂
