This recipe is AMAZING! I saw it in one of my favorite websites, Bulk Herb Store and we have really enjoyed this! HUGE hit with all in our family! I’m going to add this to my Christmas treat list! It is a bit expensive, but you don’t need to eat much at a time. I’m often all about saving money on food. However, this recipe looked great and I wanted to give it a try. It was SO worth it!
You know me and money. I’m highly motivated by it… whether that be good or bad. I’m often motive to greener choices because of the money I will save! This time, I made it first then figured out how much it would cost me. Knowing the cost will actually be a motivation not to make it too often! My calculation is definitely ballpark. I did A LOT of estimating, but I figured it cost me $12 to make an 8×8 pan.
So… hopefully that doesn’t deter you, cause these are SO worth it! If you give them a try, let me know!
Chewy Chocolate Bars
Ingredients:
1 cup almond butter
3 cups unsweetened coconut flakes
2/3 cups cocoa powder
2/3 cup raw honey
1 tsp sea salt
½ tsp vanilla
½ cup almond flour
Instructions:
- Place all ingredients in a food processor or bread machine and blend until combined. (My note: You NEED to do this. I tried mixing it by hand and it would have taken over 1 hour, I’m sure, to get it incorporated!)
- In a shallow baking dish, spread mixture evenly to desired thickness.
- Refrigerate until chocolate is firm.
- Cut into bars and serve. Enjoy!
