This is a great story about a little girl who has a close relationship with her grandfather. They explore and enjoy nature together and start to comprend and cope with death. In the end the little girl says thank you and good bye to her grandfather. This book made me cry as I thought of my own grandfather and my close relationship with him. Both of my boys were looking at me and asking why I was crying. Not much makes me cry, but this book was especially touching. This would be a great book to help kids cope and accept the dealth of a loved one, especially a grandfather.

I wasn’t planning on posting anything about kids books, but this one was so touching and I want to remember it for when we may need it in the future.
