I know I’ve stated this before, but I don’t want to have new years resolutions… but goals yes! It’s good to aim for something lofty and attempt to reach it. But it shouldn’t be too easy to obtain! A resolution means it something you are going to do and fail if you don’t do it. A goal doesn’t set you up for failure, it’s just a way of trying to improve, do better, accomplish something or work towards something. Continue reading “Goals Review from 2013”

Kombucha Part II {FAQs}
Recently we’ve shared a few of our kombucha SCOBYs and with it come 1000s of questions! Not that I don’t mind answering them.. in fact it’s quite a boost to the ego when people think you are the resident authority on something! Continue reading “Kombucha Part II {FAQs}”
Documentary: Earth Keepers
I happened upon this documentary on Hulu a while ago and just recently had a chance to watch it. It’s a little less than 1.5 hours and is well worth your time. It was quite enjoyable to watch! Mikael Rioux lives in Quebec, Canada and quite the demonstrator. Eventually he becomes fed up with just asking questions and wants to find real solutions. Kids Reading from 2013
As you can tell from my reading lists, current and past, reading is super important to us. Especially for the kids. Tonchi LOVES being read to and will often spend hours just looking at books! He is just starting to learn to read and picks out words here and there, but is usually content with just looking at the pictures.

Apple Cider Vinegar {Part II – Home brew}
Making your own apple cider vinegar (ACV) may seem over the top.. unnecessary and take way too much time. Actually, I LOVE making my own. There are huge benefits to it, but also I can use ALL parts of my apples, not have any waist at all and get an additional product in the end! Who could complain about that!

Book List for 2014
Each year I start with a new and freshened up book list… this year, however, this list is oddly very similar to last years list. If you read the review of the 2013 book list from last week you will see that I didn’t get a whole lot of reading done this year. It’s been a busy year with new transitions for our family. Apple Cider Vinegar {Part I – Uses}
We use this for EVERYTHING! There are so many healthful uses that I wouldn’t even know where to begin. If you do an internet search on it you will find literally 1000s of home remedies with apple cider vinegar (ACV) that claim to heal all kinds of ailments. I’m not here to say ya or nay to any of those, but only mention a few of which have actually been studied. Continue reading “Apple Cider Vinegar {Part I – Uses}”

The Meaning of Marriage
By Timothy Keller
Our church offered an 8 week sunday school class based on this book. It was so AMAZING! I know that I often read lots of books on raising children and child training, but I don’t spend enough time reading, studying and working on my marriage. All of this ‘family stuff’ started with my husband and to keep it all together we need to stay together. Continue reading “The Meaning of Marriage”
I Pray You Have a Merry Christmas!
I pray each of you is having a special day with lots of fun and celebration and good food to eat!
I pray that you celebrate the birth of our Savior with much joy.
I pray that you don’t forget the reason for the day and remember His great gift of coming in human form to live a perfect life and be The Sacrifice to give us a new life!
I pray that as we give gifts and enjoy the day, that we may not forget the great gift that was given to us.
I pray that your heart is filled with joy and hope and peace in believing in our great Savior who has come like the dawn with redeeming grace.
I pray that you experience His love and care for you in a new way today and in this coming year.
I pray that as this year closes that you can see renewal, growth and a deeper relationship with Him than in previous years.
I pray that you know Him and His ways and that it CHANGES YOUR LIFE…. FOREVER!
I pray for you this Christmas.
I pray…
For unto us is born this day in the city of David, a Savior, Christ the Lord. Luke 2:11
