We didn’t have a CSA delivery last week because of the Labor Day Weekend. So I wondered what I was going to post since we didn’t get our weekly delivery of fresh veggies! I figured I should do something about food and good food at that! Usually Tuesday is my recipe day, but I haven’t written any new recipes lately. Continue reading “Raw Peppermint Brownie Cookies”

Raw Vanilla Lime Cookies
No CSA delivery this past week because of the 4th of July holiday. Many of my friends were wondering why… this isn’t a big holiday… however… it is a big holiday! Our Nation’s birthday! And our farmer has been working hard for us to eat delicious foods! So shouldn’t he get a day off? By cutting out deliveries for the week maybe he can have a few hours off to enjoy good food and good friends and family! I think it’s worth it!!! Continue reading “Raw Vanilla Lime Cookies”
Almond Sesame Chews
I already knew I was attached to my [amazon_link id=”B001P2FUZC” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]dehydrator[/amazon_link], but I’m becoming more and more dependent on it. That could be a good thing or a bad thing! I’m glad it’s getting plenty of use! 😉 A week or two ago I posted on the almond coconut cookies we made in the [amazon_link id=”B001P2FUZC” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]dehydrator[/amazon_link]. Those are long gone so we had to come up with something else to make. Continue reading “Almond Sesame Chews”
Almond Coconut Cookies
I haven’t made cookies in the [amazon_link id=”B001P2FUZC” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]dehydrator[/amazon_link] or crackers in a while and thought it was high time to do it again. I wanted something somewhat sweet, but also coconutty. I mixed and threw in a little of this and a little of that and they were super fantastic! The kids love them and we will definitely be doing these again! Continue reading “Almond Coconut Cookies”
Ginger Snaps – Nourishing Traditions Style
As I mentioned in the post from the book review of Nourishing Traditions on snacks I wanted to try the recipe for ginger snaps. Since we went to the beach last week I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to make them for a special treat while there. Continue reading “Ginger Snaps – Nourishing Traditions Style”
Christmas Cookies: Chocolate Chip Cookies
In the past I’ve been one to make lots of different varieties of Christmas cookies! It is so nice to have them on hand and be able to invite friends over for coffee and cookies in the evening and have something to share and not have to think about what to make. It’s also nice to be able to take a tray of homemade cookies to gatherings when you are expected to bring a little something to share. Continue reading “Christmas Cookies: Chocolate Chip Cookies”
Gluten, sugar, dairy free Chocolate Chip Cookies
I received an email from a friend of mine today requesting desserts that she can make for her husband who is diabetic. I advised her to stay tuned for an AWESOME cookie recipe a friend of mine gave me. We LOVE these! I was thinking about it this evening and was planning on posting this recipe sometime in the future, but since it is so amazing I thought I shouldn’t make you wait any longer to enjoy a healthy cookie!
