YAY! More fresh veggies have arrived! I was so sad not to have received my box last week because of the holiday. I’m so glad we are back up and running! I was getting bare fridge and needed a refill! I’ve also heard the same echoed from you as well! Continue reading “CSA Week #4”

2014 Purge {Update}
I’ve been encouraged by how much we have been able to clean up and weed out! Our home is only 1000 square feet with two bedrooms and 6 people living here… And hardly any closets. We did partially finish the attic so that we could use part of it for storage, but even that isn’t that big. I’m not sure where all this stuff is coming from, but each time a bag leaves my house a breath of fresh air enters! Continue reading “2014 Purge {Update}”
Bedroom Decor {Free Furniture}
As I mentioned in my last post or the final reveal of our new living room… I’m not done my creative re-decorating rampage! One may think I’m pregnant and nesting with the way this is going… but no worries! I’m not! I had the bright idea of taking on our master bedroom next. Our room is functional, but not beautiful or as welcoming as I would like. I want our room to be an oasis. A place of rest and peace and beauty. AND I want to transform it for free or make money off of it. So lets get started and see what we can do! Continue reading “Bedroom Decor {Free Furniture}”
Upcycle Wool Socks to a Wool Soaker
I’m taking a quick break from the house decor series before giving the final reveal. I know… you are salivating wating on the amazing transformation! Haha!!! However, I still need to re-cover two pillows and find one more piece of art for a wall… so you will have to wait one more week and hopefuly by then I’ll be ready… Continue reading “Upcycle Wool Socks to a Wool Soaker”
Mafe
Community meals are really important to us. Sharing fellowship and a meal with friends is one of our favorite things to do. Free conversation flows over a good meal and friendships grow deeper and connects made over food and drink! Continue reading “Mafe”
House Decor {Crafting I}
And the work continues! I SO love the feeling of something new that it doesn’t even feel like work. Now if it was painting the room I would definitely feel that way! But I’ve opted out of that this time around! Each new day my mind is rolling, thinking of what still needs to be done, what I can do now and what I think would look best. I’m constantly looking at the room with excitement and with a critical eye. Continue reading “House Decor {Crafting I}”
2014 Item Purge
This is a lofty goal for sure, but it feels so good to get rid of things and simplify life. Even though I don’t feel like we buy much, I still feel like we accumulate a lot from clothing swaps, gifts, hand-me-downs, etc. Therefore we have a lot that can be repurposed, regifted, thrifted, given away, sold or simply thrown away. Continue reading “2014 Item Purge”
Documentary: Earth Keepers
I happened upon this documentary on Hulu a while ago and just recently had a chance to watch it. It’s a little less than 1.5 hours and is well worth your time. It was quite enjoyable to watch! Mikael Rioux lives in Quebec, Canada and quite the demonstrator. Eventually he becomes fed up with just asking questions and wants to find real solutions. Continue reading “Documentary: Earth Keepers”
Apple Cider Vinegar {Part II – Home brew}
Making your own apple cider vinegar (ACV) may seem over the top.. unnecessary and take way too much time. Actually, I LOVE making my own. There are huge benefits to it, but also I can use ALL parts of my apples, not have any waist at all and get an additional product in the end! Who could complain about that!

Apple Cider Vinegar {Part I – Uses}
We use this for EVERYTHING! There are so many healthful uses that I wouldn’t even know where to begin. If you do an internet search on it you will find literally 1000s of home remedies with apple cider vinegar (ACV) that claim to heal all kinds of ailments. I’m not here to say ya or nay to any of those, but only mention a few of which have actually been studied. Continue reading “Apple Cider Vinegar {Part I – Uses}”
