We’ve started to have an overabundance of zucchini and yellow squash thanks to our CSA and we have come up with a few new recipes for both! We’ve tried all sorts of ways to eat them, but no one is ever THRILLED about it or raving about how good they are. I’ve tried roasting and grilling and sauteing all to no avail. CSA Week #10
Okey dokey! Here is another week of info and recipes! I hop you aren’t too tired of the diatribe! Well… I REALLY hope you aren’t tired! Cause I verified with Farmer Byron today that our CSA is going to continue to the last week of OCTOBER! That’s nine more weeks! We are only half way through! That makes me think we are only half way through the summer too! Which brings me much joy! Continue reading “CSA Week #10”

CSA Week #9
Another week another CSA delivery! Although I’m sure this post will be hardly read since there are quite a few on vacation. I fact, this must be a popular week to be gone as school is on the horizon and people need one last week away from home! This week there were only 10 of 16 boxes delivered! Quite a bit less than usual! Continue reading “CSA Week #9”
Xanthie’s Birthday
My baby girl turned 1 last week! It’s gone by so fast. I feel like it was just yesterday that I was posting her birth story! She has been such a treasure and such an easy baby. She is so happy and easy going.. but I guess she has to be with 3 older siblings picking her up, pulling on her and trying to kiss her cheeks! She adores them! Continue reading “Xanthie’s Birthday”

Warm Spinach Salad with Cooked Pork and Mustard Vinaigrette
As greens are still being harvested by the bunches I’m always looking for a new way to serve them as the CSA is filling my fridge to overflowing with greens, greens and more greens! Even my salad lover, Tonchi, made the comment this last week “Salad again?!” And that is a rarety for him. He will often take seconds on salad over a hot dog or sausage or other scrumptious foods! He LOVES his greens! Continue reading “Warm Spinach Salad with Cooked Pork and Mustard Vinaigrette”
CSA Week #6
We were on vacation this past week and didn’t arrive back home until 3am yesterday! AND I have to work this weekend!!! Thankfully we are home though! We went to KY (about an 8+ hr drive) to visit my sister last week and we had a GREAT time and it was SO special! It was so sad to leave… in fact it was so sad that I think our car decided she wanted to stay too… Continue reading “CSA Week #6”
