Read Alouds

We LOVE to read! We are always reading or listening to a book on CD! My children get in trouble for reading instead of doing chores. Sometimes they get carsick for reading… but they continue to do it anyway. It’s like the WORST punishment if I go to the library and someone doesn’t get to come! Continue reading “Read Alouds”

An Exact Replica of a Figment of My Imagination
Elizabeth McCracken

It’s a simple read. It’s a great read when you just need something to fill your mind without taking too much energy. It’s good when you are grieving. When you are lost, or missing someone. Continue reading “Book Review {An Exact Replica of a Figment of My Imagination}”

Birth of Avi Tobias Mintz

Avi (God is my Father) Tobias (God is good) Mintz

was born this January 5, 2015 at 6:02pm.
He was only 21 weeks 2 days.

He never took his first cry, he never got to see his papa’s face or know his mama’s love, but he is with Jesus and that love is a much greater love for him and for us.

We are sad and mourn his loss. His life was way too short. It wasn’t meant to be this way. He is perfect in everyway and we will miss him.

Health Benefits of Gelatin

I’ve heard so many good things about gelatin and I’ve been wanting to give it a try, but just haven’t had the extra $$ in my grocery budget to give it a go. I keep coming across recipes that call for it and have to save them for later. Continue reading “Health Benefits of Gelatin”

I Etsy!

I’m sure many of you know what Etsy is and how it works, but let me tell you… I’m in LOVE!  I’ve used Etsy a lot more than I thought over the last few years and I’ve always been 100%+ pleased with the products and especially the customer service.  It’s real people selling to real people! Blogs Can Be SO Misleading

I’ve been thinking lately how I can feel insignificant, or like a failure or intimidated by other mama bloggers out there who seem to have it all together and have the perfect family life, with amazing photos!  Looking at someones blog always gives the impression that their life is perfect or that even in the crazy times it still turns out funny.   Continue reading “Blogs Can Be SO Misleading”

Merry Christmas

I just wanted to have a quick, short and sweet post to wish each of you a very Merry Christmas!  I hope the season  has been enjoyable and special!  We have had a great time celebrating with family and friends through the season.

I also think something visual is a great way of expressing the feelings of the season.  This first video is of a group called Walk Off the Earth.  Brian loves this group and is always playing there stuff.  One of the first songs that Aisling learned to sing was Magic by the same group.  So this is for you Babe…Happy Christmas!  I love you, Baby!

And one more video as well.  This is to convey the true reason for the season.  Let us rejoice in the birth of our Savior and the salvation that it brings! Remember in all the festivities, good food, gifts and family that the real reason to celebrate is the true, lasting, saving, enduring, life giving, humble, exalted GREAT gift of Christ!  Merry Christmas!
