Paleo Ranch Dressing

I wrote a post on this back in August of 2012 and I think it may have gotten lost in the past. Old readers have gone and new ones have come! Just last week I used this recipe and realized once again just what a fantastic recipe it really is! Continue reading “Paleo Ranch Dressing”

Upcycle Wool Socks to a Wool Soaker

I’m taking a quick break from the house decor series before giving the final reveal. I know… you are salivating wating on the amazing transformation! Haha!!! However, I still need to re-cover two pillows and find one more piece of art for a wall… so you will have to wait one more week and hopefuly by then I’ll be ready… Continue reading “Upcycle Wool Socks to a Wool Soaker”

Veggie Rogan Josh

The other night Brian and I went out on a date night for dinner! That hasn’t happened in quite a while. A dear friend kept our kiddos safe and happy while we enjoyed a rainy cold night together! Brian planned it all out and we tried out a new Indian restaurant called Punjabi Junction. Continue reading “Veggie Rogan Josh”

House Decor {Painting}

I think I mentioned in the past that I really hate painting… particularly walls, and trim, and doing the edging. I don’t like the mess, the fact that it takes two coats usually and I have to wait for the first one to dry, it’s never a one day project and the whole room is in disarray. Now, I do love the end product, but the process is painful for me! Continue reading “House Decor {Painting}”

Mafe

Community meals are really important to us. Sharing fellowship and a meal with friends is one of our favorite things to do. Free conversation flows over a good meal and friendships grow deeper and connects made over food and drink! Continue reading “Mafe”

House Decor {Crafting II}

So for post #2 on the crafting portion of the room make over! It’s going well and the crafting is coming along. I wish I could get more done, more quickly, but with running a home and homeschooling its just going to take some time to get it all done. Sometimes I feel like I get so distracted coming up with new ideas or figuring out what I want to work on next! Continue reading “House Decor {Crafting II}”

Broiled Pork and Pineapple

This dish was absolutely fantastic. As you’ve heard me bemoan the fact that I’ve been less than inspired lately, this meal hit the spot. Not only that, but the entire family raved about it. The kids had been announcing the fact they were SO SO SO hungry for the last hour before we ate. Must have been true! They licked the entire bowl of pork, pineapple, scallions and rice completely clean! I was pleasantly surprised. Continue reading “Broiled Pork and Pineapple”

House Decor {Crafting I}

And the work continues! I SO love the feeling of something new that it doesn’t even feel like work. Now if it was painting the room I would definitely feel that way! But I’ve opted out of that this time around! Each new day my mind is rolling, thinking of what still needs to be done, what I can do now and what I think would look best. I’m constantly looking at the room with excitement and with a critical eye. Continue reading “House Decor {Crafting I}”

Gluten and Dairy Free Baked French Toast

This recipe isn’t exactly paleo, but I needed a new gluten free option for breakfast and french toast is a common request. This recipe really turned out great the the kids really enjoyed it! It also filled them up which is huge in this house! Continue reading “Gluten and Dairy Free Baked French Toast”

House Decor {Design}

I’m going to attempt a mini series as I work on redoing our living room. It was originally designed when I moved in to this house before I was married and definitely before kids. It had more of a modern feel with red, gray, black and white being the main colors. It now seems way too formal and isn’t at all what I like anymore. I’m going to keep the furniture and the gray paint on the walls, but I’m ready for more color and more fun! Continue reading “House Decor {Design}”
