Chocolate Pudding

This girl has a VERY NEW BEST friend!  You could probably say I’m a chocoholic, but in recovery!  I enjoy it on occasion, but I definitely don’t always have it on hand.  I saw a recipe for pudding that didn’t call for any dairy or eggs and it was chocolate!  WOW!  Who ever thought… When I first saw the recipe I thought “Who would ever try that?  There is no way that is even remotely close to real chocolate pudding… not the box stuff.. but real homemade grandma’s pudding!”   Continue reading “Chocolate Pudding”

Chocolate Dessert Smoothie

Two nights ago all of us had finished dinner and were sitting around and wishing we had a dessert or something sweet to finish off the meal. We don’t usually have dessert; in fact, we rarely have dessert, so why we were even craving it? Continue reading “Chocolate Dessert Smoothie”

Blueberry Cobbler

We were just given about 14 pints of blueberries!  What a treat!  I froze some to use for pancakes, muffins, cobbler and smoothies for the future, but since they were fresh I wanted to make a cobbler… NOW!  We had it last night for dessert and it was delish!   Continue reading “Blueberry Cobbler”

Chewy Chocolate Bars

This recipe is AMAZING!  I saw it in one of my favorite websites, Bulk Herb Store and we have really enjoyed this!  HUGE hit with all in our family!  I’m going to add this to my Christmas treat list!  It is a bit expensive, but you don’t need to eat much at a time.  I’m often all about saving money on food.  However, this recipe looked great and I wanted to give it a try.  It was SO worth it! Christmas Cookies: Chocolate Chip Cookies

In the past I’ve been one to make lots of different varieties of Christmas cookies! It is so nice to have them on hand and be able to invite friends over for coffee and cookies in the evening and have something to share and not have to think about what to make. It’s also nice to be able to take a tray of homemade cookies to gatherings when you are expected to bring a little something to share. Continue reading “Christmas Cookies: Chocolate Chip Cookies”

Canning – Part I – Peaches

My mom got me a bushel of peaches last week and I was so excited!  I still am!  They are so good!  So sweet and juicy!  Perfect for a cool summer dessert!  If you’ve never had an orchard peach you are missing out!  I purchased a few peaches as a treat last week from the grocery store and it was such a disappointment.  They were hard, grainy and had no flavor.  These were just the opposite! Continue reading “Canning – Part I – Peaches”

Cazuela Baked Apples

I just found this recipe last week in the Everyday magazine by Rachael Ray.  This is a baked dessert from Puerto Rico and it is out of this world! Continue reading “Cazuela Baked Apples”

Coconut Flour Strawberry Shortcake

Who doesn’t like strawberry shortcake?

My son’s birthday was last week and of course we had to have cake!  I told him I would make him special cupcakes and asked what he wanted.  Of course any 4 year old little boy is going to want a robot right?  How does he even know what that is?  Oh well… So here is a photo of what was produced with some help from the book [amazon_link id=”054724181X” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]”What’s New, Cupcake?”[/amazon_link] that I’ve talked about before. Gluten, sugar, dairy free Chocolate Chip Cookies

I received an email from a friend of mine today requesting desserts that she can make for her husband who is diabetic. I advised her to stay tuned for an AWESOME cookie recipe a friend of mine gave me. We LOVE these! I was thinking about it this evening and was planning on posting this recipe sometime in the future, but since it is so amazing I thought I shouldn’t make you wait any longer to enjoy a healthy cookie!
