I already knew I was attached to my [amazon_link id=”B001P2FUZC” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]dehydrator[/amazon_link], but I’m becoming more and more dependent on it. That could be a good thing or a bad thing! I’m glad it’s getting plenty of use! 😉 A week or two ago I posted on the almond coconut cookies we made in the [amazon_link id=”B001P2FUZC” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]dehydrator[/amazon_link]. Those are long gone so we had to come up with something else to make. Continue reading “Almond Sesame Chews”

Crispy Dill Pickles
I know this seems way out of season, but we made these at the end of the summer this year with some dear friends of ours. The recipe came from them and they had gotten it from another friend. So it’s just been passed around! I certainly can’t take any credit for it, but it sure is good! Continue reading “Crispy Dill Pickles”
Hawaiian Burgers
I had never heard of these before, although they sounded great because I love a good Hawaiian pizza…. so if it is anything like that I was sure I would love it! Brian assured it me it was a real thing and it was good! Continue reading “Hawaiian Burgers”
Rosemary Sage Turkey
I know this post probably won’t be quite that helpful since it is AFTER Thanksgiving, but if you have turkey again for Christmas or New Years, maybe it will come in handy! Or if you are anything like us… God provides in amazing ways! Continue reading “Rosemary Sage Turkey”
Salmon Jerky
In one of my recent posts from [amazon_link id=”0967089735″ target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Nourishing Traditions[/amazon_link] I talked about the chapter on finger foods and mentioned my desire to make salmon jerky. I finally got around to it and I’m so glad I did! I didn’t follow the recipe in [amazon_link id=”0967089735″ target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Nourishing Traditions[/amazon_link], but instead just put a few spices (I can’t remember what I put on it… sorry I know that is NOT helpful!) on it, sliced it about ¼ inch pieces and then [amazon_link id=”B001P2FUZC” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]dehydrated[/amazon_link] it! Continue reading “Salmon Jerky”
Almond Coconut Cookies
I haven’t made cookies in the [amazon_link id=”B001P2FUZC” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]dehydrator[/amazon_link] or crackers in a while and thought it was high time to do it again. I wanted something somewhat sweet, but also coconutty. I mixed and threw in a little of this and a little of that and they were super fantastic! The kids love them and we will definitely be doing these again! Continue reading “Almond Coconut Cookies”
Deviled Eggs
Does anyone besides me get stuck on lunch ideas? We do often have leftovers from the night before, but recently we’ve had some BIG eaters around here and we’ve had enough leftovers for 1… so Brian usually takes that to work for lunch. Continue reading “Deviled Eggs”
Apple Pie
Who doesn’t like apple pie? And this is the perfect season! Apples are in season, bountiful and selling for great prices! And with cooler weather it’s so nice to turn on the oven and have cinnamon, nutmeg and baked apple smells wafting through the house! Smells of fall! Continue reading “Apple Pie”
Cauliflower Fried Rice
Being that hubby is Asian, he has the strong preference of eating rice three times a day! That is NOT an option any more. Poor man. I can’t imagine! Last year I posted about my hubbies significant health issues and diet changes that ensued. We have continued with the changes and have added additional restrictions as we’ve been dealing with our kids allergies as well. Continue reading “Cauliflower Fried Rice”
Slow Roasted Pork Shoulder with Savory Apple Gravy
This is such a great recipe to prepare the night before and let it cook all day while I’m out! For especially busy days this is one of our favorites. It also provides lots of leftovers for lunches. Continue reading “Slow Roasted Pork Shoulder with Savory Apple Gravy”
